Panzer Division, Panzergrenadier Regiment 2 is a unit of the Texas Military
Historical Society. We are dedicated to remembering our past and honoring
veterans of all conflicts through Living History events and Tactical Battle
Reenactments. We are a hobby group interested in the preservation of World War
II military history. Members participate in battle reenactments and living
history events designed to educate and benefit the general public. Among
the the unit's public displays are the Wings Over Houston Air Show, Muster Days
at Camp Mabry (headquarters of the Texas National Guard) and the Railroad Goes
to War event sponsored by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department at the Texas
State Railroad Museum in Palestine, Texas.
In addition, most members are very interested in the study of military history and the collection of WWII artifacts. Unit members generally became interested in portraying a German Army unit rather than an SS unit. Currently, there are very few non-SS German reenacting units in Texas. Since the vast majority of German combat forces were Army and not SS, we have chosen to copy the common German soldier of the Second World War. We generally do an early war impression.
We are not a group that is associated in any way with any supremacist, radical, anti-American or racial organizations. Activities of such a nature are not tolerated. If such activities interest you, then we suggest you look elsewhere.
